we will soon pray together in Al Aqsa Mosque

Being the first non-Arab official to speak about it, Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmad Davutoglu promised that "We Shall Pray in Al Aqsa Mosque Soon".

Davutoglu's speech came during the Economic Istanbul Forum, in front of some of his Arab counterparts who participated in the forum.

According to Milliyet newspaper, Davutoglu had a private meeting with 17 Arab Foreign Ministers, in which he spoke in a strict tone saying, "Al Quds will soon be the capital of Palestine, and we will soon pray together in Al Aqsa Mosque".

A Turkish Foreign Ministry official, explained Minister Davutoglu's statement as follows, "It is known that any Turkish citizen is able to pray in Al Aqsa mosque now, but he or she has to purchase a Visa into the occupied territories. What Davutoglu means is forming a Palestinian state where its capital is Al Quds, to which Arab leaders would freely pay a visit and pray in Al Aqsa Mosque without any "Israeli" Visa".

The Turkish official further explained that to Turkey now, the end of the Gaza siege is not far away. "As freeing Gaza was our aim, establishing a Palestinian state will be a major aim", he concluded.

The Turkish stance has become pro-Palestinian and anti-"Israeli" since the "Israeli" assault on Gaza, which caused the death of 1,400 Gazan civilians, in addition to billions worth economic damages.
